Aaron Rodgers to Critics: SHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I’m not gonna lie…I’ve been quiet for a reason and after last week’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts this Green Bay Packers fan was concerned but I was so relieved when I got home from work Sunday evening in time to watch my squad put a hurtin on the undefeated (5-0) Houston Texans.

Holla! I can breathe and critics can SHUT UP!

The Packers left Reliant Stadium with the win and I’m not sure that too many people saw that coming but the irony is that the Packers now 3-3 were undefeated this time last year. The difference a year makes huh?

Apparently this year’s team took a long hard look in the mirror and found motivation in the chitter chatter that’s been circulating around the media and amongst fans cause they showed up and showed out Sunday night.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers tied a team record with six touchdown passes and he was able to spread the wealth. Wide receiver Jordy Nelson opened the game with a beautiful catch for a 41-yard touchdown; he finished with three touchdowns. James Jones caught two passes and even Tom Crabtree graced the end zone. Rodgers completed 24 of 37 passes for 338 yards.

Lol it was the BOMB!

Now let’s talk defense! I’ve been waiting for the Packers defense to step it up and tonight they did just that…they harassed Texans QB Matt Schaub sacking him several times, completely stuffed Houston’s run game and if that wasn’t enough Sam Shields and Casey Hayward sealed the deal with interceptions.

Rodgers is always cool, calm and collected and tonight he showed us why he finished last season as the league MVP.

During the post-game interview Rodgers said that the Packers are tired of answering questions. That’s when NBC sideline reporter Michelle Tafoya asked, “What do you think you told the critics tonight?”

He looked at her and said SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
